I am thrilled that my design was chosen by the City of Peabody Outside the Box utility box mural project to transform the box outside the Peabody Public Library on Main Street. My design celebrates Brooksby Farm’s popular “pick your own apples” program which is an autumn tradition on the North Shore.
The Outside the Box Project has been created to focus on community pride and enhancing visual aesthetics in the neighborhood. The primary project goal is to bring art to unexpected places. Utility boxes in downtown Peabody along Main Street and Lowell Street will be transformed into works of art.
The Community Development Department has partnered with Community Development Block Grant, Peabody Municipal Light Plant, ArcWorks Community Art Center, Department of Public Services and the Fire Department to make this program possible.
