Marblehead Art Association Winter Members Show

The Marblehead Arts Association will feature the work of its artist members to kick off the holiday season. Intended to coincide with the holiday decor of the King Hooper Mansion by the five garden clubs of Marblehead, this exhibit is a community tradition. This is an inclusive exhibit, neither juried nor judged, with a diverse offering of paintings, photographs, works on paper, mixed media and 3-dimensional pieces including craft. During the run of the exhibit, there will be an opportunity for visitors to cast a vote for a favorite piece with a People’s Choice ballot. This is one of the larger exhibits of the year at the MAA, with over one hundred pieces on display, and all the work is for sale with holiday fit giving in mind.

My entry is titled Relax. It is a mixed media piece, a paper sculpture claw foot bathtub in a bathroom with a window overlooking an acrylic painting of Salem harbor.

The opening reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19 and run through December.
