As part of the 2019 Salem Maritime Festival in early August, members of the Salem Arts Association took to the streets in and around Derby Wharf to paint some of the amazing sights to be seen. Although I could not be there with them this year, they invited me to bring an earlier plein air painting I had done of The Friendship at Derby Wharf to be part of the show.
The finished paintings will be exhibited at the Salem Visitor’s Center of the National Maritime Historic Site on Essex Street in Salem, MA. The work will be on display from August 17 through September 28, 2019. (Shown: The Friendship, acrylic, 12″ x 15″ matted and framed.)
