Gallery 62 ~~ Plein Air Paintings

Gallery 62 in Danvers is a cooperative venture of members of the Danvers Art Association and offers a stunning display of the creative work of many local artists. I have just put up a new exhibit of some of my original paintings, matted prints and note cards, featuring one of my favorite types of work, plein air paintings. I just love to stand outside and paint the lovely New England landscapes. Shown: Autumn Marsh, acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas, 12″ x 24″. It was painted on a crisp fall day in Gloucester, MA at the Jones River.

Other local artists display their paintings, photography, home decor items, jewelry, textiles, crafts and more. Since it is a co-op, the prices cannot be beat. Stop by Gallery 62, housed in the antique Williams School, a two room brick schoolhouse built in the early 1900’s.

The gallery is easily accessible at 105 Elliot Street, Danvers, right on Route 62. There is plenty of free parking. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
