Artoberfest 2024!

Wow! Want to have a great time? Come down to Artoberfest 2024, hosted by the Salem Arts Association. You will enjoy an afternoon of outstanding live bands, dancers, food trucks, activities, and relaxation by the beautiful oceanfront part on Derby Street, Salem, MA.

I will be setting up my easel, along with other local artist-members of the Salem Arts Association to be live painting demonstrators all afternoon. My painting is inspired by a utility box I painted in Swampscott MA this summer — Lucky the Blue Lobster. Lucky and his happy little crew made lots of people happy when I painted them, and I decided to keep the fun going. My painting is titled Crustacean Celebration and it is done in acrylic and latex paint on a stretched 24″ x 36″ canvas — perfect for any child’s room!

If you come to the festival, I hope you will come over to my tent and say hello!

SAA Gallery Shop

Boo! You won’t be scared by the unique hand-made treasures you find at the Salem Arts Association Gallery Shop! Located in the historic Maritime District in Downtown Salem Massachusetts, it’s a fabulous place to go any time of the year; but at Halloween, it is a truly special place to visit.

On display are one-of-a-kind creations by local artists, members of the Salem Arts Association. The collection includes original paintings and matted prints — including many of mine, handmade jewelry and clothing, housewares, ceramics, hand-turned wood, leather items, and much more. Wander around and marvel.

Also on the shelves are a collection of my mini original paintings, each with its own wee easel. These are ideal to tuck onto a shelf or table in your home, give for a thoughtful gift, and are very easy to carry in your pocket as you tour Salem during Haunted Happenings! I paint seasonal and holiday specific minis and offer them all year, so come back to see what I have in store for you next.

Upstairs in the SAA building, you will discover our Art Gallery which features rotating exhibits of members’ work. Right now, of course, the gallery is showing Artoberfest, an exhibit of all things spooky and/or autumnal! The SAA is located at 159 Derby Street, Salem; and gallery hours are every Saturday and Sunday from noon until 6:00 p.m. Keep your eyes open for our famous Friday night Art Openings every month or so!
