The Danvers Art Association Fall Art Show reception will take place Friday evening, September 29, 7:00 p.m.
I was delighted when two of my paintings were chosen for awards: 2nd place in professional acrylic division for Devereaux Morning, 12″ x 24″, acrylic on canvas. I did this painting on location in Marblehead on a foggy morning in early July when it was so cold that my hands got numb! Another submission, Gables Roof, 6″ x 6″, acrylic on canvas, won a second place ribbon in the Mini Painting category. It was painted on the grounds of The House of the Seven Gables this past June, and is an unusual view of just some gables and a portion of the roof of the historic building.
The show will remain up for several weeks at DAA Gallery 62, 105 Elliot Street, on Route 62, Danvers, MA. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
