LynnArts Women’s Show

“Why have there been no great women artists?” This question was posed to the world by Linda Nochlin over 50 years ago and that question needs to be revived. “What does women’s art look like today?” LynnArts is holding this exhibition in honor of International Women’s Day and Linda Nochlin, whose death in 2017 was a major loss in the art world and, most specifically, the discipline of art history. This exhibition is for women artists to display the variety of art that is created by women.

My entries are: Misty Morning, acrylic, 12″ x 24″; Slainte, ink & pencil, 8″ x 10″, Relax!, mixed media, 14″ x 14″. (shown: Relax!)

The opening reception will be held Friday, March 23, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public. The exhibit ends Saturday, April 21. LynnArts is located at LynnArts Community Gallery, 25 Exchange Street, Lynn, MA.
