The Salem Arts Association is proud to present the annual Artoberfest Exhibit as a kickoff to the Haunted Happenings season in Salem, Massachusetts. The exhibit features all things spooky and autumnal and will be on display on the second floor gallery of the association building at 159 Derby Street, Salem — right beside Pickering Wharf.
The exhibit will open with a reception on Friday night, September 15, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In addition to fabulous art by local artists, the evening will feature live music, refreshments, and is free and open to the public. After that you can see the show during regular gallery hours every Saturday and Sunday from noon until 6:00 p.m. Don’t forget to stop in to see the wonderful SAA Gallery Shop downstairs!
My painting in the show is called Sail Loft at Pickering Wharf (acrylic, 16″ x 20″). It was painted en plein air during the Salem Merrytime Festival. It was a warm, early autumn day and I greatly enjoyed being a part of the general merriment!
