The Danvers Art Association announces the newest exhibit, the Fall Member Exhibit. It is an open-themed show so the members can enter any artwork they wish to show. The opening reception is Friday, November 3, 2023 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the beautiful renovated DAA antique schoolhouse at 105 Elliott Street, Danvers, MA. Right on Route 62 — plenty of free parking!!
My entries in the show are two acrylic plein air paintings on stretched canvas: One is titled Children’s Barn (shown) and is a brand new painting finished with a group of plein air painters from Cape Ann. On a perfectly crisp autumn morning, we all went to Endicott Park in Danvers, MA and most of us painted the bright red Children’s Barn. It was practically glowing in the morning sun.
The exhibit is free and open to the public and will be available to view at the reception and four other days: Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and also on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Fall Member Exhibit will be hung in the left classroom at the top of the stairs. The right classroom will feature a show of Day of the Dead themed art!
